What is the significance of Sulfur on the planet Mars?

    1. Eric Klien says:

Some microorganisms on Earth use sulfur in their metabolic processes. The presence of sulfur compounds on Mars could have supported similar life forms if they ever existed.

Also, sulfur-bearing minerals, especially sulfates, are often formed in the presence of water. Their presence on Mars suggests past aqueous environments.
