Tesla may adopt Apple AirPlay for better audio — and Apple Music

While Tesla famously won’t support CarPlay, code found in its iOS app update points to at least testing of AirPlay in its cars.

It’s never been possible to use Apple’s CarPlay in Teslas — not without a hack, and a convoluted one at that — but CEO Elon Musk has previously hinted at AirPlay support.

Now according to the unofficial “Tesla App Updates (iOS)” account on Twitter, the latest version of Tesla’s iPhone app includes a mention of AirPlay in its code.

BENGALURU, July 13 (Reuters) — Tesla (TSLA.O) is discussing an investment proposal with the Indian government to set up a factory with an annual capacity to produce about half a million electric vehicles, the Times of India reported on Thursday, citing government sources.

The company, led by billionaire Elon Musk, is also looking at using India as an export base to ship cars to countries in the Indo-Pacific region, the report said.

The starting price for the vehicles will be 2 million rupees ($24,400.66), the report added, which is more than double of India’s cheapest EV, MG Comet, and half a million costlier than Tata Nexon EV, the top-selling electric car in the country.

A better world without Facebook and all its negative impacts would be a significant step forward. Facebook’s dominance and influence have often been associated with issues such as privacy breaches, the spread of misinformation, and the erosion of real social connections. By breaking free from Facebook’s grip, we can foster a healthier online environment that prioritizes privacy, genuine interactions, and reliable information. It is time to envision a world where social media platforms serve as catalysts for positive change, promoting authentic communication and meaningful connections among individuals.

Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder of Facebook (now Meta), recently celebrated reaching 100 million users in just five days with his new Twitter-like platform called Threads. However, this achievement doesn’t impress me much. Instead, it highlights Zuckerberg’s tendency to imitate rather than innovate.

While I used to admire him, I now realize that he doesn’t belong in the same league as my true idols. Comparing the 100 million sign-ups for ChatGPT to the 100 million Threads users is simply absurd.

Tesla’s record deliveries in Q2 were driven by price cuts and are already priced into its stock, short seller Jim Chanos says

Posted by in categories: Elon Musk, sustainability, transportation

Tesla delivered upwards of 466,000 vehicles in the second quarter — 20,000 more than Wall Street’s consensus forecast of about 446,000, it revealed on Sunday. Jim Chanos waved away the strong showing on Twitter, saying it was fueled by price cuts and firmly priced into Tesla’s current valuation.

“Again, ‘blown away’ is a 4% beat on deliveries with huge price cuts? The $800B valuation might just be discounting that…$TSLA,” he tweeted about Elon Musk’s electric-vehicle company.

“Is ‘massive’ 4% for a stock at 10x revenues…? Shouldn’t a company trading at that valuation always exceed expectations? $TSLA,” the short seller wrote in a second tweet.
