Kennedy (Matsagas) Schaal is the CEO of Rejuve Biotech, Senior Biologist at Rejuve AI, and Lab Director and Biologist at the Genescient Corporation. Kennedy is a biotechnology executive with experience in evolutionary biology, genetics, and aging, with strong leadership in Applied Genomic Research and Artificial Intelligence in Longevity Science.
At Rejuve Biotech, Kennedy is using long-lived Methuselah Flies and other model organisms with data from the Rejuve Network and other human populations, and next-gen neural-symbolic and crowdsourced AI to develop effective healthspan-enhancing and aging-related disease-mitigating products.

Kennedy has been the Spin-Off CEO at SingularityNET since 2022. SingularityNET is a decentralized marketplace for artificial intelligence, running on blockchain. Their mission is the development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) for a beneficial technological Singularity. They aim to create the world’s first global brain with a full-stack AI solution powered by a decentralized protocol.

Kennedy is a multi-published author on the science of longevity and applied genomics trials. She is a world-leading expert on genomic selection and breeding for the innovative Drosophila Methuselah Flies, which together with applied Artificial Intelligence solves many of today’s pain points in longevity research, with the potential for a massive impact on the health and lifespan of humans.
Kennedy has been with Genescient Corporation since 2006, where she is Chief Biologist and Lab Director. She designs and runs all experiments in Genescient’s research lab and also completes data analysis and prepares results for publication and presentation. Genescient Corporation is a California systems biology company using advanced information technology to study the genomics of aging and age-associated disease. Genescient applies 21st century genomic technology to identify, screen, and develop benign therapeutic substances for the treatment of the chronic diseases of aging including cardiovascular disease, Type II diabetes, and neurodegenerative diseases.
In 2015, Kennedy also became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) at the Yoga Alliance with more than 200-hour yoga teacher training.
She was invited speaker at the LifespanIO 6th annual Longevity & DeSci Summit to share her vision of AI-driven accelerated therapeutic and biomarker discovery in healthcare and life sciences.
Kennedy earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biology and Biological Sciences in 2007 from the University of California Irvine. She did her Undergraduate Research Program at the Rose Lab on Evolutionary Biology where she was Project Leader.
