Dr. Ümit Alkuş

Ümit Alkuş, Ph.D. is a qualified Ph.D. in Physics at Middle East Technical University (METU) and holds the Award the most successful student of Ph.D. program in Physics. Ümit is member of SPIE-The International Society for Optics and Photonics and was supported by the Presidency of Turkey’s award in the SPIE-Security and Defense Conference in Warsaw, Poland (Sep 2017).
 
Ümit was previously Research Scientist in ASELSAN’s THz Radar project. Research Scientist in the Prime Ministry of Turkey’s project Millimeter Wave Imaging, Founder of the Kalkanly Technology Valley-METU, Owner of the “stolen” TUBITAK project Design, Production and Paneling of Radial p-n Articulated Single Crystal Silicon Nanowire-Based Solar Cells, Research Scientist at the National University of Singapore, Research Assistant at Ankara University Physics Engineering Department, Invited Speaker at 1st Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing Days, Research Assistant at Atilim University, Video Lecturer at Atilim University Physics Group, Researcher at Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Project Assistant at TUBITAK, Research Assistant at Bilkent University, and Lecture Translator at International Theoretical and Applied Physics.
 
His papers include Physics Machine, Super-resolution image reconstruction applied to an active millimeter wave imaging system based on compressive sensing, Investigation of radiant millimeter wave/terahertz radiation from low-infrared signature targets, Transformations of Entangled Mixed States of Two Qubits, Optimal Ensemble that Represents the Density Matrix of the Subsystem of a Quantum System in a W-type Entangled State, Optical Response of J-Aggregate Shells Coating Metal Nanorods, and Concurrence of a Bipartite Entangled State.
 
Ümit earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physics at Middle East Technical University in 2010. He earned his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics and Quantum Teleportation at Bilkent University and Middle East Technical University in 2013.
