Dr. Russell A. Faust

Russell A. Faust, Ph.D., MD, FAAP, ABIHM is Founding Expert at HealthTap; Chief Medical Officer, Founding Partner at Anicca Media; Chief, Pediatric Otolaryngology, St. John Health System at Providence Hospital; Physician, Advisory Panel at FaireCareMD; Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University Medical Center; and Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat Doc. at Lakeshore ENT.
 
Russ practices Integrative Holistic Medicine — combining the best from “alternative” and conventional medicine, and specializes in rhinitis and sinusitis. He has faculty appointments at Ohio State University, (where he continues to collaborate with an outstanding laboratory group in Microbiome Research), and several other institutions.
 
He is Founding Partner at Anicca Media, helping medical and dental practices, clinics, and hospitals to “go digital”. He serves on the Digital Media Committee of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine, the Committee for Implementation of Electronic Medical Records for the hospitals that he serves, and he consults and speaks on Branding and Social Networking in Healthcare.
 
His specialities include:

  • Clinical: Integrative Holistic Medicine, combining the best of “alternative” and conventional medicine for optimal health of his patients — children with respiratory illnesses: rhinitis, allergies, sinusitis, asthma, otitis, reflux, and all pediatric ENT.
     
  • Surgical: Minimally-invasive surgery, including experience with robotic surgery (published first text on robotic surgery), and endoscopic skull base repair.
     
Russ earned his B.S. In Neurosciences with a Minor in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Rochester in 1982. He earned his Ph.D. in Cell & Molecular Biology/Experimental Pathology at the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1988. He earned his MD at the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1992. He completed his Residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at University of Minnesota Medical School in 1998. He completed his Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Fellowship, Pediatric Otolaryngology in 1999. He earned his Certificate in Executive Leadership at Oakland University in 2004. He earned his Board Certificate in Integrative Holistic Medicine at The Scripps Research Institute in 2010.
