Dr. Doris Ngozi Morah

Doris Ngozi Morah, Ph.D. is Researcher and Lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication at Madonna University Okija in Nigeria and Editor-in-Chief of the Transdisciplinary Agora For Future Discussions (TAFFD’s) Journal.

She is an experienced scholar, communication expert, and academic from Nigeria with 15 years experience of lecturing in higher education. Her research interests are in New Media, Broadcasting, Gender Studies, International Communication, Development Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising and Media, and Society Studies.

She has participated in many national and international conferences, and her articles (and co-authored articles) have appeared in multidisciplinary journals and books published in Nigeria and overseas. She recently attended ICAfrica–Ghana 2018, which was the 2nd Biennial Africa Regional Conference of the International Communication Association on African Digital Cultures: Emerging Research, Practices and Innovations held at the Bank of Ghana Hall, Economics Department, at the University of Ghana in November 2018.

She is Editorial Board Member, International Journal of Advance Study and Research Work, (IJASRW) India, (2018– ) and Associate Editor, Madonna Journal of Communication Studies, (2011– ). She is an active member of professional affiliations such as the African Council for Communication Education, Nigerian Chapter, Center for Media and Peace Initiatives, and the Association of Communication Scholars & Professionals of Nigeria.

Doris earned her Ph.D. in Mass Communication in 2018 from the Department of Mass Communication at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Nigeria with a doctoral concentration in broadcasting and new media. She earned her Master’s Degree of Science in 2006 and her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in 2000 in Mass Communication from the Department of Mass Communication, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria. Her Master’s Thesis was titled Audience Perception of the Role of Broadcast Media in the Campaign against HIV/AIDS among Nigerian Youths. Her Bachelor’s Project was The Application of Computer Technologies in Nigerian Mass Media: Problems and Prospect.
