Christy Johnson

Christy Johnson is Intern at The Millennium Project and Contributor at Shaping Tomorrow.

The Millennium Project was founded in 1996 after a three-year feasibility study with the United Nations University, Smithsonian Institution, Futures Group International, and the American Council for the UNU. It is now an independent nonprofit global participatory futures research think tank of futurists, scholars, business planners, and policy makers who work for international organizations, governments, corporations, NGOs, and universities. The Millennium Project manages a coherent and cumulative process that collects and assesses judgments from over 2,500 people since the beginning of the project selected by its 40 nodes around the world. This work is distilled in its annual State of the Future, the Futures Research Methodology series, and special studies.

Christy was previously Vice President for Film, Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce, Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Executive Director, Arkansas Motion Picture Development Office.

Christy wants to never stop learning and to never stop caring. She wants the world to be a better place and if she can play a role in that happening, then she wants to do just that. She wants to make a difference in the world, and in lives. Christy has faced many challenges in her life, and she wants to take what she learned from them to help others facing challenges themselves.

She earned her B.A. in Radio-Television-Film with a Minor in Creative Writing at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1987.
